Dodge is bring back the Durango in the all-new 2016 Dodge Durango. The seven seat passenger Durango comes with new Sport utility mode with for types of models to choose from (Standard, SXT, Limited and Citadel) for a better on road experience. Dodge has also put in a pair of Powertrain engines to choose from fuel efficiency filling up to 600 miles in a tank. And over 50 different seating configurations for room and cargo. Though the SUV may look like just another SUV, the sport feel will make it break the barriers.

Under the Durango’s Hood

Taking the category of sport utility, the Dodge Durango, shows off two of its heavy Powertrain engines. Starting with the 3.6L Pentastar V6 Engine that can produce 290 horsepower and 260lbs-ft of torque which allows the Durango to tow up to 6,200lbs. The next engine offered is the 5.7L Hemi V8 engine that can produce 360 horsepower with up to 390lbs-ft of torque with the capability of towing up to 7,400lbs with both having an estimated EPA rated 24 mpg to help with eco fuel efficiency. The Durango uses two All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) systems for both the V8 and V6 engines. One of other features the Durango offers is its all-wheel-drive capability for that on and off road feeling. The rear-wheel-drive-based drivetrain is the foundation for its outstanding on-road driving performance, which enhances the driver’s confidence by leveraging the Durango’s 50/50 weight distribution.

Design of Dodge Durango

The Durango’s exterior design is puts it take on a muscular type body but in the form of an SUV. The Blacktop Package as a feature to the Durango, adds its own unique Gloss Black crosshair grille and gloss black 20-inch aluminum wheels. 152 LED tail lamps are added to the rear of the Durango while on the front are another set of LED’s but in the form of headlamps. The signature grille shows off its bright chrome accents on the front and rear fascias and side sills. Also in the rear are 3.5 inch Dual Exhaust tips that are a standard for the V8 Engine. The Interior of the Durango is 7 passenger seating with a 60/40 split for second and third row passengers, with up to 84.5 cubic feet of cargo space. Adding to technology the Durango offers its Uconnet system with an 8.4 touchscreen Voice Command/ Bluetooth capabilities, heated steering wheel, Dual Blu-Ray DVD system and a WI-FI Hop Spot making it the perfect family car.
