Car of Texas is the Chrysler 300
The all-new Chrysler 300 has taken top honors from the 2015 Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA), and it added to the impressive and growing list of honors that FCA US took home during this year’s various award ceremonies. Chrysler took home the highly coveted “Car of Texas” and “Mid-size Car of Texas” awards, cementing it as a stunningly luxurious yet comfortably priced mid-size sedan that can hold its own against much more expensive options. Additionally, Dodge won the highest awards for Full-size Sedan, Performance Coupe, and Best New Feature, while the Jeep brand won Performance Utility of Texas.
Michael Marrs, the President of TAWA spoke to the domination by FCA US, made possible by the “amazing array” of vehicles built and designed by the various brands. In particular, the Chrylser 300 and Dodge Hellcats caught the members eyes, earning various distinctions. The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat was singled out as the most driven vehicle by the voting members, reaffirming its incredible dynamics that will leave passersby jealous.

After spending time testing the total overall capabilities of a variety of vehicles, using the iconic and versatile Texas Motor Speedway as the testing grounds, journalists voted for their favorite vehicles out of an impressive pool of competitors. Gathering every spring to review and evaluate a multitude of vehicles across all segments, 52 journalists drove 54 vehicles which encompass the best of what individual brands have to offer. Overall, 20 awards were given to the FCA US lineup of vehicles.
For 2015, the all-new Chrysler 300 gained particular accolades, proving its stance as a boundary breaker. Boasting a powerful performance, luxurious design elements, and a refined styling, the 300 stands out among the stiff mid-size sedan competition.
