Forty-two years later, we're still that family. Still in Athens. Still doing it the same way. 

We're Elder Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - and around here, folks just call us Elder Dodge. We've earned the name The East Texas Original the only way anybody earns anything: by showing up, year after year, for the people who live here.

The dealership Hayden Elder founded is run today by his daughter, Ashton Elder, our General Manager. She grew up in this business, in this town, around these customers - and she runs it by the same standard her father set in 1984. 

When you buy here, you're not dealing with a regional manager in another state who's never set foot in Henderson County. You're dealing with a family whose name is on the building, whose kids went to school with your kids, and who has to look you in the eye at the feed store, at church, at the Friday night ball game. 

That kind of accountability changes how you do business. It means we can't afford a bad deal. It means we'd rather lose a sale than lose a neighbor. And it means that when we shake your hand, that handshake has forty-two years standing behind it. 

Through good economies and hard ones, through gas prices up and down, through every change this industry has thrown at us, we've stayed right here. Same town. Same family. Same promise. 

That's not luck. That's what happens when you treat people right long enough.

Ram trucks for the folks who haul, tow, work, and don't have time for downtime. Jeep for the ones who want the back roads, the lake, the trail, and everything past the pavement. Dodge for the drivers who still believe a car ought to have a little personality. Chrysler for the families who need room, comfort, and something they can trust on a long drive to see grandkids. 

We know these vehicles inside and out - not from a brochure, but from living with them, servicing them, and standing behind them for four decades. 

Our service department is staffed by certified technicians who work on these vehicles every single day, backed by a parts department that keeps East Texas moving. Whether it's a routine oil change, warranty work, or something that has you worried, you'll get a straight answer, a fair price, and a clear explanation of what's actually going on. 

That's the standard. It's been the standard since day one. 

Over the years, that approach has earned us our share of awards and recognition. We're proud of every one of them - but we'd trade the whole wall of them before we'd trade the trust of the families who keep coming back. 

You'll find us backing local schools, sponsoring little league and teams of every kind, standing behind FFA and 4-H, supporting the rodeo, and showing up for the fundraisers and causes that matter to families across Henderson County and beyond. We've watched kids we sponsored in little league grow up to show at the county fair, compete in the arena, and eventually walk onto our lot to buy their first truck. 

When this community needs something, we don't ask what the return on investment looks like. We just show up. 

Because we're not a chain that landed here. We grew here.
